Introduction: Bone mineral density (BMD) is considered a valid surrogate of bone strength in postmenopausal women, however it lacks sensitivity in individual fracture risk assessment in the setting of women with early breast cancer (EBC) patients treated with aromatase inhibitors (AIs).
